Kristyn Dunnion is a saucy tart. She is the author of novels Missing Matthew, Mosh Pit and the brand new speculative novel Big Big Sky. She writes short stories, too. She is also the trash talking, audacious MC and macho femme, Miss Kitty Galore. Hear her roar! But seriously, Kristyn has quite a checkered past. She studied English Literature and Theatre at McGill University. Her passion for children’s literature and wigs led her to the University of Guelph where she completed a Masters Degree in English. Her thesis involved an academic study of underground comix by women. She has quite a history in campus/community radio and also self-published her own mini-comic, MudFlaps; both pastimes created a ruckus in multiple cities. Kristyn hosts burlesque parties, cabaret evenings, drag king shows and weddings. Her performance pieces are innovative and thought provoking. She loves wearing costumes! She also enjoys making school visits, facilitating creative writing workshops with learners of all ages, and is an excellent guest speaker. Kristyn likes to dance. Kristyn does not eat animals. She likes big boots, shaved heads, and loud music! |
